[Case]

As much as I've tried to resist, I've finally had to give in to the requests to place ads in our forum.

There's a box near the bottom of each page with Google ads that are supposed to be relevant to the content of the site. You'll also notice random words with a double-underline. They look like links, but if you pass your mouse over them (roll-over) you'll get the ad.

I'm trying to keep all ads as subtle and out-of-your-way as possible. This is where I need your help. Feedback... if you find an ad anywhere on this site that causes you problems, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! "Problem ads" can be ads for inappropriate stuff, ads that get in the way of your experience, or just anything that gives you a "bad feeling".

At first, I thought just about any form of advertising would be annoying. I'm finding, however, that some of the ads can be quite amusing! I've learned a bit about DNA and peptides from the Google ads, and the contextual ads in the text (the ones with a double-underline) have picked up on some rather odd keywords... just now I was offered 50% off my odor purchase! (I've got enough "little stinkers" around the house these days. I don't need to be buying any, even at half-off!)

I've just pulled the Kontera (double underline) ads from the site. The whopping $.97 they had earned me wasn't worth the annoyance, and they were placing a bit of an additional load on my server...
