Default We are a group of 16.

I'm not sure how many of the 16 in our group will want to join my family, but how many people are we allowed to bring when we charter the boat? How many does it fit comfortably?

Hi Jackie!

I limit all tours on the Can Can to a maximum of 6. I've done this for 2 reasons: first, it's the maximum the Coast Guard will allow on a vessel of this size for long-distance tours and offshore fishing, and second, we've got enough room to cram 10 or 12 on board, but 6 is the magic number to keep everyone as comfortable and un-crowded as possible.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you have just one of these vessels or could we charter 2 of them for the same time?

Since I can only be in one place at a time, I only operate one boat. I do work very closely with several other boats... All are of the same quality and comfort. If we're booking two or more boats, advance reservations become even more of a necessity.

It's good to know the limit for boat passengers. I was wondering how big is your boat? My Dad had a 17' boat and small 35hp motor. He took our family fishing all the time. The maximum amount of people was 4. It was little but good. We went to multitudes of lakes, but no accidents ever happened.

Grace-

The Can Can is 35' long, and is powered by two 230hp Volvo inboard engines. She's got comfortable seating inside for up to 6, and I always keep the heat on, the restroom clean, and carry all the comforts of home on board. When we're not chartering with guests, the Can Can is my family's "floating R/V"... I would have a hard time talking my wife into spending so much time on the water with me if the Can Can were NOT super comfy and well equipped! Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but she's actually the best equipped and most successful charter boat operating in Juneau at this time.

I don't agree, I find smaller boats excellent. Better for true adventures, in my opinion.
